We often spend most of the time of our days in the office. Why not make it a place that is fun and exciting aside from having colleagues that make your time in the office less stressful and more fun?
We spoke to a couple of people at the office and came up with a few tips and office hacks to make your office feel more homely making it easier for you to spend time at work. 5. DECORATE YOUR DESKS TO FEEL COMFORTABLE. Our observation has led to us noticing 90% of employees who fill their desks up with what feels and looks like home and decorate their desks often join the company with the intention of staying long enough. However, the ones that usually barely fill their desks with anything, often leave the company after a month or two. 4. FURNISH ONE PART OF THE OFFICE WITH BEANBAGS AND GAMES! When you’re having a bad day or just too stressed out with the workload, what better joy could there be than to just slump yourself down on some comfy beanbags and destress or have a timeout! It is a thoughtful gesture by the employer of the company to design the workspace as such. It's also nice to have a few boardgames, cards or even a dart board in the space! 3. SNACK CORNER. STOCK UP THE FRIDGE AND PANTRY! Feeling sleepy in the middle of the afternoon? Feeling tired and need some coffee? Stock up the office fridge and pantry with your employees favourite snacks, food and drinks. P/S, don’t forget the fun stuff too and restock when needed! 2. HAVE MEALS TOGETHER AS A FAMILY. We sometimes spend lesser time with our own family at home, and more time at the office getting work done. Why not treat each other like family instead? Little lunches and dinner together as a team make a big difference in the lives of employees when you show them little appreciation like this, and brings everyone closer! 1. LEAVE BEHIND LITTLE NOTES & GIFTS. The best things are the simplest gestures that will make your employees know you appreciate them more. If you know someone who is having a bad day or a rough time, leave them a note on their desks together with a cup of coffee, a chocolate or something they fancy. There is no such definition of a perfect office, it is how you make your office to be perfect to your liking. Let us know if these tips work for you and share with us if you have better ones! Till we meet again, and Happy New Year! Xoxo, Your Pixies |
