Here’s a brief and super simple way of understanding influencers : they are people who have gathered a massive and devoted following on social media resulting in a strong online presence. They are also looked at as role models by their strong fan base on social media. The influencer market is an already huge and growing market that many are still unaware of. This article is mainly for those of you who want to learn about influencer marketing, how they work and why you should try them for your business. We’re trying to give you an overview of everything so you understand how and why it is a brilliant idea to explore influencer marketing, therefore this article will be broken down into two portions – this being the first! To begin with, there are different types of influencers representing different brands telling different stories, representing different brands such as lifestyle, beauty, healthcare, food and many many more. Each of these influencers come with their own tag which leads to their respective pricing. Now, you must be wondering how they charge us, how much is ‘expensive lah’ and how much is ‘cheap only lah’? When it comes to influencers pricing, they are further divided into many subs which include nano influencers, micro influencers, macro influencers, and mega influencers. These are the differences you should familiarise yourself with before planning the budget for influencer marketing. Here are the differences: Usually, nano influencers charge a fairly small amount for posting your brand story on their social media accounts. The pricing here can range between RM100 – RM500 and mega influencers can charge you between RM 1,000- RM 15,000 for a couple of postings.
Here are the five most common types of influencers we stumble upon when we work with our brands: 1. Bloggers and Vloggers These type of influencers gain the trust of their audience through the content in their videos. These influencers record and post their content through YouTube, Tiktok and Vimeo slowly engaging their fanbase through their interesting content. 2. Social Media Sensations Known as the social media sensations – these group of influencers initially started off as normal people like you and I. Overtime, they have managed to build their very own fanbase on social media as a result of them sharing their personal lives on social media. They share a glimpse of their everyday lives to their fans, resulting in a trust being built between themselves and their fans. 3.Reality TV Stars These influencers come from those people who participate in reality shows such as masterchef or a local tv drama who have lots of fans watching them star on tv and are curious to learn more about their lives resulting in them following these people on social media. 4.Photographers Photographers often steal the limelight with their breath-taking shots and catchy, quirky captions. They too develop a small fanbase of their own. We hope you enjoyed the first part of our introduction to influencer marketing. Let us know what you think! Stay tuned to our next article which we will tell you how and why you should engage in influencer marketing and if your brand truly need it. Xoxo, Your Pixies

Extended for another ONE MONTH?! Yes, that’s right. While our government is busy preparing us to adjust to the ‘new normal Covid19 lifestyle’, most of us aren’t exactly allowed to satisfy our cravings especially if we’re from different states and you can’t exactly go to your favourite restaurants or eateries to grab your favourite food. All you people living in Selangor & KL are extremely lucky that you guys get to enjoy the yummy goodies we’re craving for (Ash is stuck in N9 by the way). Being as generous as we can, we’re sharing with you our top food cravings from our favourites during MCO – you can thank us later! 😊 1. CAKES AND SWEET DELIGHTS by giftbydinoric May is a month filled with birthdays, and special occasions. But hey – you don’t always need a reason to enjoy a pretty cake with rich flavors that will never fail to put the sweetest smile on your face. Share the love and surprise someone maybe GIFT by Dinoric is ever-ready to complete your special occasions. Recommended: Onde Onde Cake Classic Baked Cheesecake Instagram: @giftbydinoric 2. BIG, FAT, CHEWY CHOCOLATE CHIP COOKIES by Flybakesbyling Perfect for a sweet escape to chocolate heaven. If you’re a health freak, just maybe these crunchy cookies would be a perfect option for you. Flybakesbyling bakes them using only premium ingredients with less sugar (only if you’d like!). Fairly new in the market, but take a bite of their cookie, and you’ll find your jar empty sooner than expected. Start placing your orders for Raya soon. MEXICAN-INSPIRED FOOD TO YOUR DOORSTEP by orale.my Tired of having the usual mamaks or your home cooking, and just feel like having something different for your lunch or dinner? Well, how about some Mexicana! They have some pretty good deals during MCO, so why not try some of their famous burritos, quesadillas or taco. P/S, their lamb is our personal favourite. Their vegetarian pumpkin taco is real yummy too! Recommended: Lucita’s Little Lamb Burrito Hector’s Pet Fish Burrito Calabaza Tacos Instagram: @Orale.my 4. YOUR MUST TRY AYAM PENYET IN KL by penyet_express_restaurants Our personal favourite and an all-time cuisine that remains our favourite every single time. They’re not much on social media, but you can place your orders on Foodpanda or Grab Food and you’d be able to relate to how we feel towards ayam penyet. Here’s a pre warning: don’t be fooled by the sambal. Eat it little at a time and you’ll still feel that tinge of spiciness going down your throat. Recommended: Smashed Fried Chicken Smash Beef Restaurant: Penyet Express 5. HOMEMADE G&T AND SOMETHING SPECIAL FROM ITSY BITSY by barpahit MCO has been tough on us, but these guys decided to spice that up a little bit by giving you the chance to enjoy your very own Gin & Tonic at home with their very own house infused GIin (Bottled Gin). However, these are very limited in quantity and we would advise for you to order as soon as possible! We’ve always loved just chilling in Bar Pahit after a long tiring day over some of their best Gin and Tonic. Oh and did we mention, they’re open for dine in now already (with proper SOP in placed, of course!). Do check them out, however, be sure to make reservations earlier if you don’t want to be disappointed. While you’re ordering some G&T, we would highly recommend that you try something from the kitchen too, known as itsy bitsy kitchen. This is fairly new from Pahit, food options ranging from Pasta to Chicken and Mutton - they’ve got it all and it's super satisfying! Good news, they deliver your favourite bottles and cigars to your doorstep. If you can’t get to Kenshin during MCO, they will come to you! Enjoy the crazy promotion and place your orders today. We absolutely love their whiskey and it is one of the many ways to start the weekend right. Recommended: Highball Whiskey Harvey Wallbanger Instagram: @kenshinkl We’re craving for many many other things too, and we’ve started our very own list once this is all done with. While most of us are exploring our natural hidden talents at cooking or baking at home, some of us are also actively looking for people who can supply baked goods to their home and also for Hari Raya. Do support small businesses, it definitely is a plus point when their products are extra yummy and at an affordable rate too, right? 😉 Most of them are also providing delivery services that you can explore. Stay tuned to our next article, but before that let us know what you’re craving for as well! Stay safe! Xoxo, Your Pixies Product marketing is one of the most important elements especially if your end goal is to sell the product rather than just advertising it. This is where is it essential for you to learn one of the many important skills that you should have to be able to successfully sell your product: Product Photography. While many of us think that product photography is something only professionals can do and not just everyone, think again. All you need is a sprinkle of pixie dust and open your mind to be as creative as you can (don’t limit yourself!). We’re going to share with you three simple product photography tips that you can try during your next photoshoot!
1. Don't Be Afraid to Use Your Smartphone Camera You would essentially think that to be able to achieve a clean and professional looking photo, you probably would need to invest in a few thousands to buy an expensive DSLR camera, but in reality, you can shoot a perfect photo with only your smartphone! Smartphones nowadays have come a long way since the older smartphone days where you were unable to adjust your temperature settings, your saturation, the amount of light you want to filter while you capture the shot, the blurry effect of the background, making your product stand out and lots more. If you are just starting out, take our advice and don’t invest in an expensive camera unless you really need it. 2. Shoot From a Tripod for Photo Consistency You should invest in a tripod! You can also check out some of the basic tripods online at a very budget friendly price (between RM10-RM15). Once you get the hang of it, then you can consider investing in something of a better quality. For starters, it is advised for you not to prop your phone against something sturdy to aim your lens towards the subject of your shoot. You can do without a tripod and just hold your camera while shooting, but as your business grows you will need to standardize the orientation of your product in each photo which will make it challenging without a tripod. 3. Natural Light vs. Artificial Light: Choose One Lighting is very important in product photography as it has the power to make a product look extremely good, or very unappetizing and not aesthetically pleasing to the eye. This process is important as this is what draws the pontential buyer's attention. If your lighting is perfect enough to make your product stand out, then you're ready to sell! Yes, some photos can be edited but if the lighting is not great, natural or artificial, no editing can save it, trust us. We will be sharing more on this on our upcoming articles, so stay tuned! That's all from your pixies this time around, hope this article helps! Xoxo, Your Pixies. |
